The Kabardino-Balkarian Diabetic Association will hold its first session at the Palace of Children’s Art on June 2, Yuga.ru reports.
The public organization will adopt a charter that will focus on protection of the rights of people with diabetes and providing consultations for them. The organization offers membership to everyone willing to join.
Tatyana Taova, the chief doctor of the Republican Endocrinological Center, said that the republic had about 15,000 people aged from 6 months to 90 years suffering from diabetes. She added that the problem was becoming more common among younger people.
