Two more people have died after the explosion at the central market of Vladikavkaz. The total number of people dead has reached 19. Two people died overnight. 138 people were injured in the explosion, the Ministry of Healthcare reports.
The head of North Ossetia Taymuraz Mamsurov declared September 10 a
mourning day, the press-service of Mamsurov said. Flags in the
republic have been lowered and all local TV entertainment programs and
events cancelled, Interfax reports.
Families of the dead will receive 1 million rubles, the Deputy
Minister of Healthcare and Social Development Maksim Topilin said.
Topilin said at a video conference with Russian President Dmitry
Medvedev and Taymuraz Mamsurov that gravely injured people will be
given 400,000 rubles, people with light and medium injuries will get
200,000 rubles. This project is to be viewed by the government today.
