Building of new monastery started in Tbilisi

The Monastery of Theotokos Iverskaya is to be built on Mount Makhata
in Georgia, reports Georgia Online. The monastery complex includes an
educational center and an orphans' refuge. The world famous opera
artist Paata Burchuladze has initiated a fund “Iveriisas” to support
the building. People can support the building by donating 1 lari
($0.80) each month from their salary.
