NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has demanded the release of the Turkish diplomats kidnapped last week in Iraq. "We are deeply concerned by the situation in Iraq and we condemn the attack on the Turkish diplomats in Mosul. We call for the immediate release of the hostages and we want to see them returned home.Nothing can justify this crime," ITAR-TASS quotes his statement. Rasmussen noted that the North Atlantic Alliance and Turkey intend to continue consultations in connection with the capture of the diplomats.Speaking about negotiations with the Foreign Minister, he assessed them as "positive and constructive."
