The press secretary of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Chechen republic, Mahomed Deniyev, reported that two men who were killed in the course of a shootout with police were participants in illegal armed groups.On entering the village of Geghi in the Urus-Martan district of Chechnya two members of illegal armed groups were killed.As a result of the incident a police officer was hospitalized with light injuries.The identities of the criminals are being determined now, as well as their participation in the murder of a police officer on June 22 in the Leninsky district of Grozny.Checkpoints have been set up in every region of Chechnya as part of the search operation "Vulcan", at one of which the incident occurred in the Urus-Martanovsky district.
