A US court hasn’t released on bail Khairullozhan Matanov, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan who is accused of obstructing the investigation into the terrorist attack in Boston in April 2013.
According to the prosecution, Matanov was a friend of Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnayev, who are accused of organizing the terrorist attack. The prosecution states that Matanov knew that he could be of interest to the investigation and took several steps to obstruct it.
Yesterday Matanov's lawyer asked him to be released on bail, but the court didn’t satisfy the request.
