Iranian pilgrims released in Iraq73 Iranian pilgrims have been released in Iraq. The pilgrims were kidnapped in the town of Samarra, north of Baghdad 10 days ago by militants of a terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The Iraqi army freed the captives. None of the pilgrims was  injured, ITAR-TASS reports.Iranian pilgrims regularly visit major Shiite shrines in Iraq in the towns of Karbala, Al Najaf, Samarra and Baghdad.
