Ahmed Israpilov, Magomed Gajiyev, Shikhmirze Labazanov and Magomedali Amirkhanov will go on trial for organizing a terrorist attack at the house of Sheikh Saeed Afandi in Chirkey (Buynaksky District, Dagestan) in 2012, the website of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office reports.
Afandi himself and six of his congregants were killed by a suicide bomber, allegedly trained by the suspects.
Deputy Prosecutor general Victor Grin has already approved charges against the four. Shamil Sidikbegov and his brother Makhulav have already been jailed for 16 and 13 years respectively for the terrorist attack. The four other suspects are charged with terrorism, banditry, mugging, kidnapping, trafficking of weapons and explosives, racketeering and document theft. They may get life imprisonment.
Materials of the case have already been sent to the Supreme Court of Dagestan.
