A conflict between the Muslim Administration of Stavropol Territory and residents of Vinsady, a village not far from Pyatigorsk, over construction of a mosque has been resolved. A construction site was offered after a letter from Muslims of Pyatigorsk to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Yuga.ru reports.
Ruzanna Danilova, spokeswoman of the Muslim Administration, said that the mosque will be built where planned. It will be located 25km from the village in an uninhabited area. The villagers collected 3,500 signatures against its construction.
