The Federation Council of Russia has approved the law on formation of gambling zones in Crimea and Sochi. Russia has gambling zones in Vladivostok, Altay, Kaliningrad and the Azov and Black Sea coasts of the Caucasus, RIA Novosti reports.
Formation of a gambling zone in Crimea should boost investment, employment, income, tourism, the service market, hotel and food business. The gambling zone in Sochi will exploit some land used by Olimpstroy for construction of Olympic facilities. The boundaries of the gambling zone in Krasnodar Territory will be set by the Russian government, taking into account the opinions of local executives.
