Georgia is implementing video monitoring in schools. The Georgian
Minister of Education and Science, Dmitry Shashkin, said in an
interview to the ‘Prime-Time’ newspaper that this system will start
operating in the schools of Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi this year and
Rustavi, Gori and Zugdidi next year, Georgia Online reports.
The minister said that only two schools have cameras so far. The
initiative is part of the ‘Safe School’ project.
