1,129 people have died in Ukraine, UN says

Navanethem Pillay, the UN high commissioner for human rights, said at the monitoring mission in Ukraine that 1,129 people had died and 3,442 had been injured in the Ukrainian conflict, ITAR-TASS reports. The fourth report of the UNCHR covers data from June 8 to July 15, 2014. 522 of the people killed were civilians.The report says that most of them died in artillery attacks. Pillay noted that the deaths and damage to infrastructure could be regarded as a violation of international humanitarian law. The document states that the militia had totally ignored the principle of supremacy of law.The report says that the conflict caused a rise in migration flows, an anti-Russian attitude and economic problems.
