Navi Pillay, the UN high commissioner for human rights, said that the downing of the Boeing-777 of Malaysia Airlines that crashed with 298 people on board in the eastern part of Ukraine on July 17 was a military crime, Interfax reports.

The plane flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur carried citizens of Australia, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia, the U.S., South Africa, Philippines and New Zealand.
