Plane makes forced landing in Batumi

A bird hit the engine of a Belavia Embraer-195 plane flying from Batumi to Minsk with 99 passengers, including 16 children, and 5 crew members, causing it to make a forced landing in Batumi today, RIA Novosti reports.

The plane took off at 4.50am. The crew commander reported a malfunctioning of the hydro system after a bird flew into the engine. A Boeing 737-700 with technicians will be sent to Batumi to fix the Embraer-195. Passengers will have arrived in Minsk by this evening.
