Investigators are considering criminal activity as the reason for an
attack on Moscow crime boss Aslan Usoyan, nicknamed Granddad Hasan,
RIA Novosti reports, citing the official spokesman of the
investigation, Vladimir Markin.
73-year old Usoyan was attacked on Tverskaya Street in Moscow. He and
his bodyguard were taken to Botkin hospital with gunshot wounds.
According to a source from the investigation, two people were detained
by the police, a young man and a young woman, but they were released.
The young woman was a member of a media agency. She was extra curious
and the police had to carry out explanatory work, the source said.
He said that they found two deformed shells at the scene, a mail
notification and three envelopes with bills for telephone services.
