The Ingush State Inspectorate for Small Vessels has carried out monthly patrolling and registered illegal swimming in the River Assa in the residential areas of Nesterovskaya, Alkhasty and the Jeyrakhsky District, Interfax-South reports.
According to inspectors, children were often left swimming alone.
A 10-year-old drowned in the River Assa yesterday. The child’s mother drowned trying to save him because of the intensive flow. The woman has been found, while searches for the child continue.
