Nino Tsverava, deputy head of the bureau for long-term forecasts at the Georgian agency for environmental protection, said that the average air temperature in Georgia will reach 41 degrees Celsius in Kakheti (Eastern Georgia), 38-40 degrees in Tbilisi, and 32-33 degrees in Western Georgia, News Georgia reports.
The temperature in the east will drop to 34-35 degrees later.
People were recommended to stay at home in the hottest hours and refrain from eating sweets and drinking alcohol.
