Zara is stopping sales of new children’s t-shirts. They have long sleeves and horizontal stripes, a big six-sided star is seen on the left side of the t-shirts. The new clothes look very similar to uniforms worn by prisoners of concentration camps, Vedomosti reports.
Zara denies any similarities and emphasized that the t-shirts were inspired by classic American Western films. The word “sheriff” is written on the stars. A Zara official added that the t-shirts were only for sale online.
The Spanish company apologized to all clients for any offence the clothes may have caused. All the t-shirts with that design will be destroyed.
