A 16-year-old resident of Makhachkala turned himself in to the police on 28 August 2014 for killing 64-year-old retired Police Colonel Ashkhan Magomedov, the head of the Transportation Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry in Dagestan has stated, RIA Dagestan reports.
The teenager was riding a waverunner when he hit the colonel who was swimming at the Zdorovye dacha community (Kirovsky District, Makhachjala) on August 25. The officer died in hospital. The teenager escaped the scene at first but later decided to give himself up.
