Situation around persecution of Georgia’s Saakashvili seems vague

 

The Interpol official website has not put Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili’s name on the international wanted list, despite the fact that the Main Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia had asked the Interpol to put him on Red Notice on July 29.Saakashvili was put on the national wanted list on August 12.The Red Notice serves for search and arrest for extradition. The Yellow Notice is for searches only, the Blue Notice is for collection of information about suspects, the Black Notice is for collection of information about unidentified bodies, the Orange Notice is to warn about events, individuals and processes threatening the society, the Violet Notice is for searches for information about criminals’ acts. The Special Notice of the Interpol and the UN Security Council serves for searches for individuals and groups persecuted by the Interpol and the UNSC Sanctions Committee
