Moscow celebrates City DayToday Moscow is celebrating City Day. It falls on the first Saturday of September. City officials have prepared more than a thousand different events for this day that will be held from early morning until late at night in parks, cinemas, museums and on the boulevards and streets of the city. The celebration of the Day of Moscow will also continue tomorrow.This year Muscovites were able to take part in the planning of celebrations for the first time. The city authorities have received more than 300 proposals, 10 of which have been selected, including tours around the city, a festival of eco-friendliness and an open air concert of classical music.There also will be a charity fair held by 40 charitable organizations.
