The police of Dagestan have initiated a criminal case against militants who had attacked police officers in Uluz, near the Tabasaransky District of the republic, RIA Novosti reports.Law enforcers found Fizuli Mirzakhanov and Jafar Khanmagomedov, mbmers of the Yuzhnaya sabotage and terrorist group, in the area at 2.00pm yesterday. The militants refused to give up and opened fire. The police neutralized the militants.Mirzakhanov has been on the wanted list for being a member of an illegal armed formation and for a terrorist act near a police station in Khuchni (Tabasaransky District) in September 2013. The militants may be responsible for other grave crimes.
