The appeal trial of Tsotne Gamsakhurdia, the son of the first Georgian
president, will renew in the Court of Appeal in Tbilisi today, Georgia
Online reports.
Gamsakhurdia was arrested on October 27, 2009, and charged with an
assassination attempt and the illegal purchase, storage and carrying
of firearms. A Tbilisi court sentenced him to 9 years and 6 months in
prison. He denies the charges.
