Observers to enforce order during Eid al-Adha in Moscow

Public observers, members of the Mufti Council, Public Chamber, Public Council of the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry, Russian Congress of Caucasus Peoples, Association of Dagestani Youth, Union of Ingush Youth Organizations and the Elbrusoid Fund will enforce order during the marking of Eid al-Adha in Moscow. The Public Council decided to mobilize public observers after an incident at the Historic Mosque on Bolshaya Tverskaya Street on September 26. Several Muslims saved one of their co-religionists from arrest by police officers, ITAR-TASS reports.

Sultan Togonidze, deputy chairman of the Russian Congress of Caucasus Peoples, said that the public wanted to assist in keeping order.
