Abkhaz President Raul Khajimba said at the political council of the People’s Unity Forum Party that the Georgian-Abkhaz border on the River Ingur should be closed, leaving only one crossing post open, RIA Novosti reports.
Abkhazia has four pedestrian and one car crossing post on the border with Georgia. Only residents of the Galsky District of Abkhazia with Abkhazian, old Soviet or form-9 passports may cross the border.
