Cases of child labour diminish in Azerbaijan

 

Azerbaijani Deputy Minister for Labour and Social Protection Idris Isayev told Snezhana Bedalli, the head of the ILO child labour program in Europe, Central Asia and Arab states, that child labour was becoming less common in the country. He noted that children in Azerbaijan could be hired for work at the age of 15, according to Convention N138 of ILO, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.The deputy minister added that people aged below 18 had special guarantees and benefits as workers.
