The Makhachkala city landfill will soon move to the Buynaksky District, near quarries, farther from underground water. The new landfill will cover 5-10 hectares, said Deputy Mayor Kamil Iziyev, RIA Dagestan reports.
Makhachkala disposes about 500 tons of waste every day. Rospotrebnadzor demanded executives to close the landfill.
