The bust of USSR Hero Shamsulla Aliyev from the Military Glory Park named after him has been found in a pile of garbage in Derbent. The park is under reconstruction and all monuments were taken down. However, the monument was not in the reconstruction list.
Mirbala Seidov, deputy head of the Juma Mosque of the city, will protect the memory of Shamsulla Aliyev. A mass protest is planned. He reminded that a similar story happened with the memorial of Lenin.

Captain Shamsulla Aliyev, a native of Derbent, was a member of the 399th rifle division. He protected the North Caucasus, fought in Taman and Crimea. Aliyev died on November 19, 1943, becoming a USSR hero.
