Students of the engineering and pedagogical faculty of the Dagestan State Pedagogical University conducting a sit-in reported that will be they compelled to begin a hunger strike if the authorities of the university don't accept their requirements. Initially the discontent of the students was caused by the future merger of two faculties – engineering and pedagogical and technological-economic. The students believe that after graduating from university officially they will receive the specialty "teacher of labor", whereas they expected to receive the specialty "teacher of economics, design and computer science."
