Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad urged the UN to form an
independent group to investigate the facts surrounding the terrorist
attacks on September 11th 2001, on Thursday at the 65th session of the
UN General Assembly, ITAR-TASS reports.
Ahmadinejad mentioned the three existing versions of the attack:
infiltration of a strong terrorist group, organization of a terrorist
attack by the US authorities to halt the crash of the US economy and
increase its influence in the Middle East and a terrorist attack
supported by the US government. The US delegation left the hall after
these words.
The US State Department commented on Ahmadinejad’s speech in a message
published today in New York, saying that instead of representing the
hopes of the Iranian people he is coming up with conspiracy theories
and anti-Semitic insults.
