A militant killed himself with a self-made explosive device in
Kabardino-Balkaria this morning, ITAR-TASS reports, citing the
Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee of the Russian
Prosecution Service in the republic.
The militant opened fire at the building of the Federal Security
Service in the city of Nartala in Urvan Region at 04:00 (Moscow time).
His explosive device went off as he was trying to escape FSB pursuit.
The police found an AK with 3 magazines and a PM pistol with 5
magazines.
A criminal case was initiated for an attack on police and illegal use
of weapons.
