In Tbilisi a working meeting titled "Reducing the spread of rabies, controlling the population of stray dogs and developing a corresponding strategy according to the standards of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE)" is taking place with the assistance of the European Union and the Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN (FAO).The UK's ambassador to Georgia Alexandra Mary Hall, the deputy minister of agriculture of Georgia Nodar Kereselidze, chief veterinarian of Georgia Mikhail Sokhadze, representatives of municipalities and animal shelters in Georgia and NGOs are participating in it, as well as veterinarians.
