Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan has excluded the possibility of
school lessons in the Kurdish language, Trend reports, citing TV
channel CNN Turk.
The Peace and Justice Party had proposed initiatives to introduce
lessons in the Kurdish language in concentrated areas of Kurdish
settlement .
After a referendum on amendments to the Turkish Constitution, the
language initiative was proposed as one of the main steps in realizing
a plan for a democratic solution of the Kurdish problem. The party
members considered that it would play a positive role in weakening the
separatist Kurdish Workers' Party.
