After a thirty-year break, the Sumar-Mendeli checkpoint on the Iran-Iraq border has resumed working.Official representatives of two countries took part in the opening of the checkpoint, the Trend news agency reports with reference to Iranian Fars News.Resumption of work on the checkpoint will promote the growth of trade turnover between Iran and Iraq, the head of Mendeli city council Azad Hamid Shafi declared.
