A native of Karachay-Cherkessia is suspected of killing a police officer near a cafe in Yessentuki at about 6.00am on November 6. According to investigators, the suspect and the police officer, who was on vacation, were waiting for a taxi. When a taxi arrived, they started a quarrel about who should be the one to take it. The officer was stabbed twice and died in hospital afterwards, Interfax reports.
