An Iranian military ship drove off pirates on a motorboat who were attempting to attack a tanker in the Gulf of Aden, according to Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayari, the commander of the Iranian Naval Forces, Trend reports.
The 32nd flotilla of Iran has been protecting commercial ships and oil tankers from pirates since early November.
