The French police have detained 10 Georgian mafiosos, whose gang is responsible for about 120 robberies in Paris and other French regions. Some of the detained gangsters are on the wanted lists of Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland, TASS reports.
The French police organized a high-scale anti-crime operation to find gangsters from CIS countries. Over 40 people have been detained, suspected of racketeering, armed assaults and credit card fraud. Most of them were of Georgian origin.
The first criminal groups from CIS countries started appearing in France in the 1990s.
