Next year amendments to the migration law of Russia could be made: the FMS intends to cut the time given to consideration of requests for issuing refugee status, according to the head of the Department for Citizenship of the FMS, Valentina Kazakova.
Moreover, the FMS suggests new ways of protecting refugees – “timely protection.” This is a timely stay in Russia by a foreigner or a person without citizenship who has come to the country due to a military internal or international conflict or other developments which violate public order in a state.
