Ruslan Potelidze has been detained for allegedly causing a fire at a fireworks pavilion at a Batumi market that killed two people. Four people questioned over the fire at the main police directorate of Adjara have been released, Potelidze’s lawyer stated, RIA Novosti reports.
The suspect was doing welding and construction work at the pavilion when firecrackers started exploding. A criminal case was initiated into violation of safety rules, causing death.
Earlier information said three of the owners of the fireworks had been detained.
