Next week Sochi will host cross-country race "Jogging into the New 2015". Competitions will be held on December 27 on the embankment of the river Sochi, the participants in the tournament will compete in masquerade costumes.
"All the athletes will be divided into 11 qualifying groups. These are families in which the age of the children is up to 6 years, inclusive. And boys and girls 7-8 years, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, young men and women 13-14 years old, 15-16 years, 17-19 years, men and women 20-25 years, 26-35 years, 36 years and older," the department of physical culture and sports of the city administration announced.
A separate group of participants will include participants wearing New Year costumes with no limitation by age. Different qualifications get different length distances - from 500 m to 2.5 km.
The competitors will be awarded with memorable prizes and gifts. A separate prize will be received by participants for the best New Year costume, portal YUGA reports.
