The manager of a dining room at a military unit, Niyaz Zadegan, has been found guilty of stealing goods worth almost 40 million rubles.
The court found Zadegan was making fraudulent applications for food for the military, on which he received excessive amounts.
"Thus, the defendant stole and sold meat, potatoes and other foods worth 39,386,000 rubles," the Russian Prosecutor General's message is quoted by "Interfax-South".
The court found Zadegan guilty under the article of the law "Misappropriation or embezzlement" and sentenced him to 5 years and 6 months imprisonment in common mode, as well as a fine of 300 thousand rubles.
