Abkhazia is celebrating the 17th anniversary of Independence Day after
the Patriotic War in 1992-1993. Residents of Sukhumi have started
laying flowers at the Honor memorial. The head of the Sukhumi
administration Alias Labakhua has kicked off a meeting, Apsnypress
reports.
600 serviceman will march at 12.30. The laying of flowers at the
memorial of the first Abkhaz President Vladislav Ardzinba will start
at 13.00.
