The reconstruction of the Tikhoretsk-Tuapse-2 oil pipeline has been completed. The pipeline had been damaged at Grechesky (Tuapsinsky District, Krasnodar Territory), causing an oil leak. Rescuers are clearing the River Tuapse and the Black Sea of oil spots, TASS reports.
About 8.4 cubic meters of oil were spilt. The decompression of the pipeline was possibly caused by a landslide. Prosecutors and the Rosprirodnadzor environmental surveillance structure are checking the causes of the oil spill.
