The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations made a proposal to Indonesia to assist in searching for the missing Air Asia aircraft. The Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Vladimir Puchkov, sent a telegram with the proposal toto the head of the search and rescue agency of Indonesia, EMERCOM spokesman Alexander Drobyshevskiy said.
"The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is ready to provide immediate assistance to the Indonesian side and help in finding the missing aircraft. At your disposal is our most modern aircraft and rescue technology, including amphibious aircraft Be-200, equipped with modern search tools, thermal imagers, locating equipment," TASS quoted the text of the telegram.
In addition to equipment, the Russian agency may offer their specialists to assist in the area.
