Suspicious objects have been found in the Java Sea in the search area of the missing AirAsia airliner. They are located approximately 1100 kilometers from the point where the Boeing last made contact. An Australian "Orion" patrol aircraft found these objects. However, it is unclear what exactly these things are or whether they relate to the missing aircraft.
Patches of oil of unknown origin were also found, which could be from aircraft or maritime vessels.
