Chairman of the State Council of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov said that the country will soon begin construction of a mosque.
"When we were in Tatarstan we learned from their experiences in interfaith cooperation and construction. We are planning to use the knowledge we obtained in Crimea. The Crimea Mosque will adorn the Crimea and will become a symbol of consolidation," Crimea-Inform quoteds Konstantinov.
The Crimean Cathedral Mosque is to be built in Simferopol. According to the project, the main building will have a dome and a courtyard with colonnades. The total capacity of the mosque will be 3500 to 4000. Tatarstan and Chechnya have stated that they are ready to assist with the construction of the mosque.
