Volgograd commemorates victims of public transportation blasts

Volgograd is recalling the victims of public transportation blasts. The main commemoration will take place at the memorial for the victims on Kazintsev Street, according to Volgograd Mayor Andrey Kosolapov.


The first blast in Volgograd happened in a bus on October 21, 2013. Seven people were killed and 37 injured. A suicide bomber exploded at the Volgograd-1 Railway Station on December 29, killing 18 and injuring 45 people. Another terrorist killed 16 and injured 28 in a trolleybus on December 30.
