Staff of the Ahmad Arena stadium, which is the home stadium of the football club Terek, have begun work on replacing the old pitch, the official website of Grozny club reports.
The administration of Terek and the Ahmad Arena decided "to replace a pitch with exhausted resources for a new one." At this moment, the maintenance of dismantling the old pitch is being carried out, R-Sport reports.
"It is planned that by mid-spring the new pitch will be ready for a match. It is expected that the new pitch will meet the highest-quality standards and please the public with its rich, vivid colors," reads a statement of the club administration.
The Ahmad Arena was opened in May 2011. In the current season, Terek is ranked ninth with 25 points.
