Lieutenant-General Anatoly Kudriavtsev, 77, of the Russian Air Forces has committed suicide, according to Yulia Ivanova, an official of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow. The general left a note, stating that his act was voluntary and provoked by intolerable pain caused by stomach cancer, Interfax reports.
Anatoly Kudriavtsev had been a commander of Chechen ex-President Dzokhar Dudayev.
