The illegal Revolutionary People's Liberation Party–Front has taken responsibility for the blast at a police station in Istanbul.
According to the front's statement, posted on "The People's Cry" website, the attack was organized against the ruling Development (AK) Party over the killing of 15-year-old Berkin Elvan, who died in March last year after nine months in a coma from a head wound sustained during an anti-government protest.
On January 1 police arrested an armed man who threw a unexploded grenade at the residence of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Istanbul's Dolmabahce Palace. The Revolutionary People's Liberation Party also took responsibility for the attack, RIA Novosti reminds.
